Updates for Sun. 7-5-2015

To Ullr staff:

Ullr picnic and gondola rides at Crystal Mtn - Aug. 16th
Sign up here.

Hello Ullr Staff,
Knowing that this last winter was a very rough season and all the hard work everyone put in, Ullr would like to say Thank You to all our current and previous crew members with a small gathering up at the Crystal Mountain Resort on Aug. 16, 2015 from noon to 5 PM. Look for a small Ullr sign on one of the tables on the Sun Deck, behind the main lodge (see base area map - the building with the Cascade Grill).
We will start things off at noon with a potluck / picnic on the Sun Deck. Then, if you would like to ride the gondola to the top, you can pick up a free gondola ticket courtesy of the Ullr board of directors (John Quickstad and Philip Skoog). There are many activities at the top of Green Valley such as the Summit House or hiking the Crystal Mtn Trail back down to the base (about a 3 hour walk). Trail maps will be available at our table. The gondola runs Sun. to Thur. 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (last download 6:00 p.m.) Please RSVP for the picnic and the gondola ride so we know how many tickets to have available. Also, please let me know if you would like to volunteer for a short shift to greet people, organize the food, or hand out gondola tickets. We need at least 10-12 people to cover all the hours between noon and 5 PM.
The picnic / potluck will be organized as:

  1. Bring a potluck salad or side dish for 6-8 people. Sorry, we will not have anything to keep things hot. Please let me know what you want to bring when you RSVP.
  2. Bring your own main food item and beverage for yourself.
Other activities that are available on your own:
  1. Mountain biking (you can bike up the trails if you like or on the roads around the base area)
  2. The Summit disc golf course in Green Valley or the Lower Course next to the base area. http://crystalmountainresort.com/summer/summer-activities/disc-golf/
Look for more info at our website, www.ullr.com and on the Ullr Facebook page!
One final note from our insurers, Wells Fargo: All participants are responsible on their own with respect to transportation and activities at the mountain.

The tentative 2016 schedule is below.

Confirmed 2015-2016 Meeting Schedule.
